Agriculture without Borders is an independant non governmental
organization, which aims to support farmers and agricultural
organizations all over the globe. This support must contribute
effectively to improve ways of production, processing &
commercialization, based on fair prices for products and remuneration
for work. The agricultural sector, in improving its productivity and
caring for human and social capital, contributes considerably to better
living conditions, education, health, housing, water supply and welfare
of individuals, families and rural communities.
Vision & Goals
People
and communities can learn a lot from each other. Farmers all over the
world have the right to participate in the wealth and prosperity and the
benefits of education, science and technology. They can be connected to
each other and to the world of knowledge, and must have access to
information on modern farming and to farm inputs, finance, marketing,
technology and other useful expertise.
Agriculture without Borders,
as an independent NGO, wants to stimulate contacts and exchange of
expertise between people and communities of different cultures and
religions all over the world. A prosperous agriculture is best served by
open attitudes and contacts between individuals and communities. This
contributes to mutual understanding and prevents conflicts which lead to
humanitarian disasters or create obstacles to the growth of agriculture
and economic cooperation.
Agriculture without Borders includes the
future generations in its vision and therefore aims to work in a
sustainable way, caring for nature, land, animal welfare, ecological and
social environment. Agriculture without Borders wants to contribute to a
future world which will be a global village of communities and people
who do care and have respect for each other and for our common planet.
Agriculture without Borders: instruments & activities
1.
Agriculture without Borders considers the needs of our time and sees as
first necessity to provide agricultural assistance and food for those
who suffer from famine, health problems, conflicts, natural disasters
and crises in the world. In view of urgencies and basic needs all over
the world it is crucial to give support to water supply, food
production, farming land availability, farm inputs and (food) processing
in order to contribute to the increasing global demand for food and to a
fair income for farmers and their families.
2. The human factor is
the largest asset for the worlds future. Therefore it is of crucial
importance to make available to farmers and agricultural organizations
the newest information, research results and technological expertise
through education and training, and in using more modern communication
techniques. E-learning can break barriers between people of the world,
such as language, distance, color, culture and religion.

fertilizers, feed and expertise on important matters like modern animal
husbandry, sustainable production, food processing, new methods of food
storage and efficient means of transport from farmers to consumers.
4.
The availability of the newest information and expertise to all farmers
can help to realize the enormous potential of sustainable agriculture,
and assist in dealing with climate changes and other environmental
issues such as waste and deforestation, energy production and
consumption, clean water supply, public health and modern communication.
5.
Research & technology can help to reduce the use of chemical
fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, to introduce better seeds,
planting material and sustainable fertilizers, and to implement modern
methods for mechanization, irrigation and water supply. Good stewardship
